Young superheroes got to put their cycling skills to the test at Crooked River Park in St. Mary’s on Tuesday, July 16. During the Party at the Park, a superhero-themed health and wellness resource fair, BWGI and Georgia Bikes held a bike helmet fitting along with a cycling obstacle course. During the event, cyclists and their adults discussed the importance of wearing a helmet, reviewed what to do around street signs, and practiced avoiding obstacles. We passed out safety materials and dozens of bike helmets, funded by our generous grant from the Georgia Office of Highway Safety. We were incredibly excited to visit with more than 200 young superheroes and their adults! Thanks to the Friends of Crooked River and Family Connections Camden for putting on a great event.
