Bike Walk Golden Isles held a fall community bike ride on October 18 to celebrate our 1st birthday with the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety grant. We shared reflective gear and bike lights in order to ride safely during the fall evening hours, as well as our new Glynn County bike/walk map and safety guide. Following a safety briefing about riding in a group, about 20 cyclists enjoyed a slow roll through the streets of historic Brunswick. Afterward, we met at our office at the Wick 3.0 for a brief membership meeting, a look back at our last year accomplishments, and an update on the East Coast Greenway, finishing with pizza and cupcakes.
