Law Enforcement Bicycle Safety Workshop

Join Georgia Bikes and Bike Walk Golden Isles for a Brunswick-area Law Enforcement Bicycle Safety Workshop on Friday, May 3.
The course covers the best practices for law enforcement officers to educate bicyclists, pedestrians, and drivers on the safe use of roadways. Also included is a review of O.C.G.A. sections pertinent to bicycles and pedestrians, an examination of bicycle and pedestrian facility types, an update on trends in bicycling in Georgia, information on crash reporting, an analysis of bicycle and pedestrian crash data, and strategies for improving pedestrian safety. Attendance is worth two hours of POST credit for participating police officers and is open to all law enforcement officials in Georgia.
There are two presentations, 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., and will be held at the Wick 3.0, 501 Gloucester St., Brunswick.
This course is offered by Georgia Bikes and Bike Walk Golden Isles and is supported by funding from the Georgia Governor’s Office of Highway Safety.
