Tavel joined BWGI as its first Executive Director in November 2022. A graduate of the University of Georgia and the University of Maryland European Division, she has previously worked in journalism, small business management, and human resources. An avid runner and novice triathlete, Tavel is an active volunteer with the Golden Isles Track Club. She is a League of American Cyclists Certified Instructor.
