In the early morning of Saturday, October 18, 2025, Bike Walk Golden Isles welcomed 195 bicyclists from all around the South East region to our second annual fundraising ride. Pedal Golden Isles offered supportive rides of 20, 40, and 62 miles through beautiful Coastal Georgia.
This ride was made possible through the help of incredible volunteers and partner organizations. Southeast Georgia Health Systems staff were on site for medical support, Monkey Wrench Bicycles staff provided Support and Gear (SAG), and Camden Cycling Club volunteers staffed one of our fully-stocked rest stops along the routes. After the ride, PGI riders had a picnic lunch provided by the College of Coastal Georgia (CCGA) Culinary Arts program.
Proceeds from this annual fundraiser directly support pedestrian and cycling safety in the Golden Isles. BWGI distributes educational literature and essential safety gear, and provides free educational programs, classes and workshops to our community. BWGI also advocates for infrastructure improvements and better laws that support different modes of travel to keep all road and path users safe.
