On Saturday, February 2nd, we partnered with Keep Golden Isles Beautiful for our second annual trash clean up at Blythe Island Regional Park. Our efforts were amplified by the combined support of SEGA-SORBA, Golden Isles Track Club, and the Atkinson Elementary Beta Club with their chaperones.
Our hardworking group of 44 volunteers and partner organizations picked up more than 500 lbs. of trash and debris from the marsh, off-road bike paths, and hiking trails! Maintaining the integrity of our paths, roads, and trails by keeping them free of litter and debris makes these community resources accessible for all who walk, run, bike and roll in the Golden Isles.
Thank you to all who helped keep our pathways safe and accessible!
If you weren’t there for this event but would like to get involved with opportunities like this in the future: subscribe to our newsletter, become a BWGI member, or send us an email to join our volunteer task force, today!
