The inaugural Pedal Golden Isles ride was a great success! Almost 150 cyclists enjoyed a scenic ride through south Glynn County and into Camden County on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024, tackling distances of 20, 40 and 62 miles. Nine states were represented, and riders ranged in age from 8 to 79!!! As Pedal Golden Isles was designed to be a fun, safe, non-competitive ride, participants were able to enjoy three rest stops, where they were able to fuel up with favorites like PBJ, pimento cheese sandwiches, and Chef Robby’s amazing cookies. (He shared the recipe after several requests! Check out the link below.)

Many thanks to the amazing volunteers who made the ride possible! We are so incredibly grateful to those who donated their time and talents!

The enthusiasm for Pedal Golden Isles shows the importance of having additional, safer cycling opportunities in our area. Proceeds will benefit Bike Walk Golden Isles, allowing us to present a variety of safety events for cyclists and pedestrians, while we continue to work with our local officials on making our roads safer for all who bike, walk, run, and roll!
