The Georgia Department of Transportation is seeking feedback about the proposed SR 25 Spur East (Torras Causeway) over the Mackay River bridge replacement project. The existing bridge, which was constructed in 1986, is below current design standards with observed deterioration in the structure.
The proposed bridge would be approximately 2,880 feet long and 90 feet wide. The bridge would consist of four 12-foot travel lanes (two lanes in each direction) with 4-foot inside shoulders with concrete barrier, 8-foot outside shoulders along the eastbound and westbound sides with a barrier separated 10-foot shared-use path along the eastbound side.
GDOT invites you to leave feedback on the proposed project until May 5, 2021.
