This race is one of the second oldest continuous races in South Georgia.  A unique\, mostly-dirt course on forest service roads through the beautiful area around the park and Dixon Memorial Forest. The starting and finishing line is inside the Okefenokee Swamp Park and has indoor bathrooms! \nProceeds benefits the Okefenokee Swamp Park\, a 501c3 dedicated to the preservation of the swamp’s unique creatures\, history and natural beauty! \nEach participant gets a free pass to enter the Swamp Park on race day! SUMMARY:5K & Family Fun Day for Maternal Health Awareness
DESCRIPTION:Georgia is among the most dangerous states for pregnant women in the country. Thus\, it important to start the conversation with women on how to advocate for themselves in the doctors office and in the delivery room. This charity race’s goal is to raise funds for economically vulnerable women and their babies to receive high-quality maternal and infant care and to start the conversation about maternal health. We will begin the morning with a 5K race followed by a FREE family health day event. You do not have to attend the race in order to attend the free family health day event! DESCRIPTION:This is a home run (virtual) run. Select your course and complete 3.14 miles no later than 11:59 pm on 3/14/25. \nSubmit finish time on Run Sign Up. Access at cloverglove.com\, click on “Results” beside the name of the race no later than noon EST on 3/15/24. \nAWARDS: All runners who submit a time for the Pi Day 3.14 Mile Home Run AND attend the St. Patrick’s Running Celebration in person at Rock Eagle 4-H Center will be entered into a random drawing to receive one of four pies freshly baked at Rock Eagle. In addition\, twelve additional names will be randomly drawn to receive one Moon Pie! \nREGISTRATION: Will be open on RunSignUp through 3/14/2025. \nPROCEEDS: The race proceeds benefit Georgia 4-H by supporting scholarships\, programs\, and projects for Georgia’s youth.
