DESCRIPTION:This annual community event draws more than 1\,500 participants and is a treasured Golden Isles tradition. Super Dolphin Day is the largest fundraiser for the PTAs of St. Simons Elementary (SSE) and Oglethorpe Point Elementary schools (OPES). Race proceeds help provide valuable resources to enhance educational programs at both schools. \nRace Day February 8th\, 2025 \n10k start 7:00am \n5k Start 8:30am \nFun Run 9:30 \nRegister by January 24th to guarantee a tshirt.  Last day to purchase shirt as well.

This ~2 mile walk program to promote health and safety will feature one guest walk leader to guide us in both journey and discussion. Join Coastal Climate Adaptation Director Ashby Nix Worley of The Nature Conservancy for a walk through Downtown Brunswick this month! \nOur planned route for this first walk \n  \nAbout Our Guest \nAshby Nix Worley joined The Nature Conservancy as their Coastal Climate Adaptation Director in November 2016\, where she works with coastal partners and communities to bring nature-based solutions to address climate impacts in order to build a more resilient Georgia Coast. Ashby has an undergraduate degree in Environmental Science from Mercer University and Master of Science Degree in Environmental Science\, specializing in Wetland studies\, from Louisiana State University. Ashby has worked as a coastal scientist in the coastal Georgia region for 15 years\, working for both the Department of Natural Resources Coastal Resources Division and the University of Georgia\, and serving as the Satilla Riverkeeper. Ashby is a Certified Floodplain Manager since November 2017.
