DESCRIPTION:2nd Annual SSUMP\nWheel–A–Thon 2025 \nThis fundraiser is a noncompetitive\, fun bike race around the block on a designated course around St. Simons United Methodist Church! \nBike race features two heats based on age/riding-ability. \n\n1st Heat starts at 9:30 AM for children 2 years old and under\n2nd Heat starts at 10:30 AM for children 3 years old and older\n\nActivity Village is open from 9:00 to 12:00 so join us there before\, during\, or after you race! \nChildren 12 and under are invited to ride bikes\, trikes\, scooters\, and strollers to participate. \nActivity Village includes bounce houses\, face painting\, interactive experiences\, crafts\, and more! An unlimited activities wristband is available for purchase but individual activity access may be purchased day-of event. \nAttendees will be able to purchase refreshments and food with shaded seating available on a first-come\, first-served basis. \nRaffle will feature fabulous prize baskets donated by our amazing business and community partners. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase beforehand as well as during the event.

DESCRIPTION:Join Bike Walk Golden Isles on Saturday\, Aug. 17\, at 9 a.m. to celebrate the installation of our new bike repair fix-it station at Howard Coffin Park\, Brunswick! \n \nThis incredible addition to the park was funded through a grant from Hello Goodbuy\, the Brunswick thrift shop who has returned more than $2 million to community non-profits. The City of Brunswick’s public works department installed the station. We are incredibly grateful for their support!\n  \nWe’ll hold a demonstration of how to make simple repairs\, a bike helmet giveaway/fitting\, and enjoy refreshments. Since rides are always the best way to celebrate\, we will hold a community group bike ride at 10 a.m. Bikes and helmets required for the all-paces family-friendly ride. DESCRIPTION:Join us at Gloucester and Reynolds Streets in downtown Brunswick with your bicycle and helmet at 5:00 pm on Wednesday\, October 18. We’ll head out on a family-friendly bicycle ride at 5:30 through downtown and the historic areas of Brunswick. \nThen\, at 6:30 p.m.\, join us back at the Wick 3.0 (501 Gloucester Street) for refreshments and a brief membership meeting and presentation showcasing Bike Walk Golden Isles’ success and plans for the future. We will provide secure indoor bike parking \nThe ride is completely free\, but registration is requested so we know how many to expect. Helmets are mandatory\, and bike lights are advised\, especially with the darkening fall skies.
